Ti's Story

Ti Nicole is an actress/writer/producer based in the Chicagoland area. She fell in love with storytelling in high school and has been hooked ever since. After attending Illinois State University - where she majored in Acting, Ti returned to her high school and worked as a teaching artist/coach in their Speech & Drama Program.

Soon she found space in the  theater community. Ti has worked with Black Ensemble Theater, Timeline Theater, MPAACT, Chicago Children’s Theater, Second City, 16th Street Theater, Congo Square Theater, Fleetwood-Jourdain Theater, Bridge 2 Freedom and the Black Motherhood and Parenting Festival.

Ti took a leap into film after booking an episode of Chicago PD on a whim. She has worked on a host of commercial and independent film projects.

In 2017 she founded OpportuniTi Productions, an independent film collective that provides a safe space for marginalized communities to explore creative expression through filmmaking. In 2018, her first project - PLOW, a commentary on the role of women during the Civil RIghts Movement debuted at the historic TCL Chinese Theatres in Los Angeles.

Since then, Ti has written two web-series and another short film. Currently, her web-series Blackboard Jungle is available for viewing on YouTube. Her film Cadence: A Love Story is touring the festival circuit and her new web-series  Sis, Breathe will premiere on all social media platforms on March 12th.

Ti’s motto is “Chase excellence Not Perfection!” The idea of perfection binds the creative but leaning into excellence encourages us to keep pushing forward.
